The Symposium will be held on December
16-18, 2002, at the University of Texas JJ Pickle Research Campus
in Austin, Texas. This is a forum for the presentation and discussion
of water resource applications using digital elevation data including
NED, EDNA, LIDAR, synthetic aperture radar, digital bathymetry,
and several other closely associated national datasets, the NHD
and the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD).
The Symposium
provides:
- a forum for exchange of ideas and information
for water resources professionals and geographic information scientists,
- transfer of data, technology and management
information on water resource applications using digital elevation,
LIDAR, Radar Altimetry and remotely sensed data,
- an update and meeting on the current Arc
Hydro Data Model as developed by the GIS in Water Resource Consortium,
- meeting of the ArcInfo Water Resources User
Group
The symposium is sponsored by: U.S. Geological
Survey, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, NASA, FEMA and the
Center for Research in Water Resources at the University of Texas.
