Rio Conchos WEAP Exercises – Rio Conchos Ejercicios WEAPby Rodrigo A. Nicolau del Roure, B. S. and Daene C. McKinney, PhD ABSTRACT The Water Evaluation and Analysis Program is being applied to model water allocation in the Rio Grade/Bravo basin through the Physical Assessment Project, a bi-national project evaluating the possibilities for improved water management in the basin. As part of this project, a short course on the use of the WEAP modeling software was presented in October 2005 with detailed examples for the Rio Conchos Basin. The examples and exercises in the training course showed step by step procedures to input data into the program and interpret the output. A Spanish version of the exercises is presented in this report. This translation was part of the training materials used during the actual training session that was provided by the NHI and the CRWR to Mexican partners involved in the different projects. The training workshop was scheduled from October 23rd to October 26th of 2005 and done at the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
